At Roz Hi-Tech we don’t only specialize in computer repair in Harrisonburg, VA, but also with iPhones and other android devices. Especially with Apple updating recently, we know a lot of iPhone users have trouble with battery life. There’s nothing worse than your phone just shutting off when you really need it. Working with all kinds of phones, tablets, and computers over the years, we’ve picked up some tips and tricks to saving that battery. With that in mind, here are 3 tips to keep your phone running all day long.

1. Turn on Low Power Mode

Low power mode is useful even when you’re not low on power. If you know you’re going to be using a lot of battery, it’s a great idea to go ahead and turn it on at the beginning of the day. Birchtree  finds, in their experiments, that,

“on average, my battery was at 17% at midnight in normal mode, but 49% in Low Power Mode.”

So go ahead, turn on low power mode and you’ll be able to stay away from that charger all day long.

2. Get the iOS Update

Updating the software actually can your phone last longer. Apple has so many updates so they can fix bugs, like those that make your phone lose copious amounts of charge. It’s a great all-purpose fix when you’re experiencing minor problems with an iPhone

3. Think About Replacing the Battery

Sometimes it’s just as simple as replacing a battery. iPhone batteries don’t last forever and sometimes your device just needs to be looked at by a specialist. Luckily, your phone will probably tell you when that time comes. As well as the fix for the battery/charging issue for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s, iOS 10.2.1 brought in a warning system for when your battery needs to be repaired or replaced. That means when you see the message ‘Your battery needs service’, it’s time for a change.
